What are the ingredients?

Sodium chloride 6% w/v (1 mmol/mL)
Hypertonic saline solution for inhalation, 150 x 10 mL sachets

What is it used for?

Assists in the thinning of respiratory mucous secretions. Also used for induction of sputum in the lower respiratory tract, via osmosis, in patients with persistent mucus accumulation.

What are the directions of use?

For adults and children over 2 years, give 1–2 times per day via nebuliser, or as directed by the healthcare practitioner. 

May be diluted with sterile water if required.

What are the cautions?

Store below 25°C. Not for injection.
Single use only, discard unused portion.
Do not use if sachet is damaged.
Do not use after documented expiry.

If symptoms worsen, discontinue use and seek advice of a healthcare professional.
